Putting Youth on Centre Stage seeks to facilitate the mobilisation and empowerment of Nepali youth to participate in the country’s social and economic development processes and actively participate in its governance.

The project area Sindhupalchok has been seriously affected by war, girl trafficking, youth migration and earthquake.

While 60 percent of Nepal’s population are below 25 years of age, cultural traditions, gender bias, and cast hierarchies effectively prevents the majority of youth from participation in politics and democratic conversations as well as key parts of economic life.
