  Development
    CICED represents a unique combination of expertise in education policy analysis and development, project and sector
     programme planning and management, and academic and professional capacity across key areas in education development,
     e.g. curriculum, teacher education, classroom management, school leadership, school-based educational innovation, inclusive
     education, supervision. 

    CICEDs project file includes collaboration with ministries of education and educational institutions in Africa, Asia and Central-
    and Eastern Europe.  Rather than the ‘transfer-of-knowledge and technology’ paradigm that is dominating much international
    consultancy work CICED is guided by the principle of mutual institutional and professional collaboration for the ‘transformation of
    knowledge’. We are committed to work with due respect and insights in to the context in which we operate on a collaborative
    basis with particular attention to our partners' educational traditions, norms and values, their specific needs and interests.

    In addition to our consultancy services CICED offers professional development courses and post-graduate diploma studies
    tailored to meet our international partners’ specific needs and interests. Ideally such courses and study programmes are
    designed and conducted in close collaboration with institutions in the respective countries.

    Education Sector Reform
    Policy analysis and policy development for reforming primary and secondary education.

    School management, improvement and innovation
    Consultancy support for planning and implementation of school improvement and educational innovation projects. Training of
    school managers, teachers and educational administrators for efficient school improvement and pedagogical innovation.

    Special needs education/inclusive education
    Policy analysis and programme development for promoting special needs education/inclusive education within the primary and
    secondary education sector. Staff development, tailor-made professional training and higher education programmes.

    Staff development & higher education
    Design and implementation of tailor-made staff development training programmes and higher education studies in
    pedagogy and educational psychology, teacher education, curriculum development, school management and innovation,
    special needs education & inclusive education, mother tongue and literacy and several other fields of relevance to
    primary and secondary education.

    Teacher education
    Policy analysis and policy development in teacher education. Support for developing teacher education programmes and
    strategies (pre-service and in-service teacher education). Teacher education curriculum reform and related staff development
    and institutional capacity building.
