Welcome
Centre for International Cooperation in Education (CICED) is a resource and
development centre within Professionshøjskolen
København University College
(University College Copenhagen/UCC).
The centre
works in two main areas. One is
'internationalisation' of education. The other is technical
cooperation in education 'development' projects in low-income countries.
Within the field of internationalisation of education, CICED supports
the development and strengthening of international activities in
primary and secondary education as well as the internationalisation
of the UCC’s own educational programmes and activities.
CICED administers mobility programmes, is engaged in the
development of international strategies and projects, and works for an
overall integration of international perspectives in curricula,
professional development and institutional policies.
Working in the field of development CICED offers technical cooperation
to governments, ministries of education, educational
institutions, donor agencies, NGOs and consultancy firms. For an
overview of CICEDs experience and mission see 'Projects'.
About University College Copenhagen: With reference to legislation
adopted by the Danish parliament, Professionshøjskolen
København University College (University College Copenhagen/UCC) is
in the process of merging three previously independent
institutions into one. The three institutions are Frøbelseminariet,
CVU Storkøbenhavn and CVU København & Nordsjælland.
Internationalisation in its broadest sense has been identified as
an integrated part of the UCC’s overall vision and mission
statements and the strengthening of the UCC’s international profile
and activities is identified as one of 10 key focus areas for
further development of the institution. The final drafting of a
full-range internationalisation strategy and related plan of actions is
in
the pipeline according to the plans and procedures for the
completion of the merger.
